FAQs

What is Legacy Narratives?

Great question. Legacy Narratives is a custom service inspired by my years writing for journals and magazines. Each commissioned book is crafted to accurately reflect the heart of your story — a life's biography, wedding, anniversary, childhood — and gently navigates those uniquely human moments of celebration, grief, death, and life.

Who will interview me?

I will. However, because everyone prefers a different approach to being interviewed, I offer three unique styles:

— Email: Receive a series of questions into your inbox and reply with your answers when you’re ready. Be as candid as possible.

— Phone: I’ll give you a call and we can have an informal interview over the phone.

— Interview with a loved one: Not everyone is in a position to speak over the phone, or even email. If it’s more suitable, I can send a series of questions to a loved one and have them record an interview with you.

How long does the process take?

This all depends on how swiftly it takes a person to respond to the interview questions. Once I have received their answers, I will have the first draft ready for review within eight days. There are TWO opportunities to review the narrative. After the last review, it will be sent to the printers. Shipping and printing takes around two weeks.

Will I have a chance to review the narrative before print?

Yes. You will have TWO opportunities to review your narrative before it’s sent to print. Additional reviews cost NZD$50.00.

Who is this service for?

Anyone. In its infancy, Legacy Narratives was founded to preserve the stories of those who are no longer with us, or who will be passing away shortly. The first book I made was for my sons to remember my late-mother, their grandmother. Since then, I have expanded the idea to include wedding anniversaries, special birthdays, like twenty-firsts, love stories for engagements, even business stories. Have an idea? Get in touch.
